Description¶
The treatment combined five of the seven PD models identified in prior reviews: in-service training, observation/assessment, development/improvement process, mentoring, and study groups. The article states that "in the present study attempts have been made to provide various experiences for the participant teachers through the employment of five different PD models", contrasting this with prior studies that targeted only one source of efficacy. Activities included group-based work, critiqued teaching demonstrations, review of organizational programs, observation of successful teachers, and four-to-six-member study groups, delivered across three 16-session courses of 90-minute sessions.
