Five quality domains from the literature as the theoretical framework underlying IDSA requirements¶
Design · All designs
Evidence · no claims cited
Description¶
The literature review provided the theoretical framework for the requirements and the basis for prototype development. The article states that "Five domains were identified: (a) user satisfaction, (b) pedagogical domain, (c) service quality, (d) perceived information quality, and (e) perceived system quality." The pedagogical domain was grounded in the ICAP framework, whose criteria are "specifically adapted to online teaching and learning", while the technological domains cover service quality, information quality, and system quality variables mapped onto the derived requirements.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Requirements must be mapped onto the five domains, with net-benefit variables such as content completeness, knowledge acquisition, and performance improvement assigned to the pedagogical domain
Constraints¶
- The framework was derived from a literature review of information-systems success research rather than tested directly in this study
Target Learners¶
- Higher education students using digital study support systems
Learning Goals¶
- User acceptance and effective use of digital study support for self-regulated learning
