Description¶
The flipped classroom is a blended learning approach that "reverse[s] traditional teaching by requiring students to prepare key concepts at home and engage in collaborative activities during class time". In the included studies, this typically meant students watched teaching videos or micro-lectures before class (often via WeChat), followed by in-class interactive Q&A, case discussion, and teaching rounds, with post-class summary and review. Teachers act as "observers and guides of activities" rather than lecturers.
Design Implications¶

Target Learners¶
- Undergraduate clinical medicine students in clinical practice
Learning Goals¶
- Theoretical knowledge
- Practical clinical skills
Claims¶
- Flipped Classroom Higher Theoretical Scores Clinical Practice [+W]
- Flipped Classroom Higher Skill Scores Clinical Practice [+W]
