Description

The article defines the FC Model as "a new pedagogical model where the instructor shares predetermined digital resources with students through a platform outside the classroom, and related content is also taught through this outside platform asynchronously". Citing Bishop and Verleger (2013), it identifies two significant components: computer technologies such as video lectures, and interactive learning activities. It further lists four components from the Flipped Learning Network (2014): flexible environment, learner-centered detailed content teaching, intentional monitoring of progress with active learning strategies, and a professional educator who provides immediate feedback. In this study the model was implemented with Khan Academy videos out of class and Kahoot quizzes plus group presentations in class.
