Description¶
The article structures its intervention as "four structured phases": sensitising preceptors with calibration exercises, baseline case writing by the traditional method with an MCQ pretest, sensitising residents to the six SNAPPS components, and SNAPPS-guided case presentation with checklist scoring, a post-test MCQ and a feedback survey. This phased design embeds the model in existing departmental activities rather than separate sessions.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Two trained preceptors supervising sessions
- Standardized SNAPPS checklist with 5-point scoring per component
Constraints¶
- Single-centre, convenience-sampled cohort of 35 residents; same cases used in both phases, which the authors note as a performance-bias risk
Target Learners¶
- postgraduate pathology residents at three training levels
Learning Goals¶
- structured case presentation
- diagnostic reasoning
- clinicopathological correlation
