Description¶
The study's instructional artifact: the CIC Block 3 Unit 2 module on Computer Networks was restructured into a self-learning module of three small units equivalent to 15 hours of study and delivered in three modes — print with face-to-face support, an interactive multimedia CD, and a web-enabled version "with built – in discussion forum" posted on a specially designed website (VirtualCampus.org). Thirteen learning activities were integrated across the three modes, eight common to all, including pre-test, induction, study guide, self-assessment questions, discussion, chat, summary and post-test.
