Description¶
Most learning management systems "offer the ability for the instructor to change the subject heading or title to a post." Instructors can retitle posts using a student's name to signal a class-wide conversation, highlight subtopics, or add humor to entice students to read. The article treats this small, instructor-controlled feature as a valuable personalization of the discussion forum and manipulates it experimentally as personalized versus standard auto-generated reply titles.
