Description¶
The lecture and practice condition is the traditional baseline against which productive failure and facilitated problem solving were compared in this three-condition study. Students taught by the same teacher experienced traditional lecture and practice instruction, and their post-test performance on well-structured and higher-order application problems, plus representation flexibility, was compared with the other two designs.
