Lighted schoolhouse: after-school programming on the school campus¶
Design · All designs
Evidence · no claims cited
Description¶
The lighted schoolhouse model hosts events on the school campus during after-school hours to "provide a healthy, positive environment for youth." In One Life, each district assigned a staff member and events occurred biweekly, alternating between districts, including recreation, leisure, and physical activity. The authors link it to improved school bonding and home-school relations through school-community partnership and facility use beyond normal hours.
