Description¶
This instructional pattern pairs weekly teacher-led small-group classroom math activities with caregiver-child home activities linked to the classroom content. Each classroom activity includes "a core lesson as well as additional activities to tailor the lesson for lower- and higher-performing children" and scaffolding suggestions for common errors. Home packets contain the activity, manipulatives, and a bilingual caregiver letter with a picture strip depicting how to conduct the activity.
