Description

The PEDS trial was a 2x2 factorial, community-based cluster-randomized control trial with a responsive stimulation arm and an enhanced nutrition arm. Lady Health Workers delivered an adaptation of the UNICEF and WHO Care for the Child Development package, which "promotes caregivers' sensitivity and responsiveness through developmentally appropriate play activities", via home visits and monthly group community meetings until children reached age two. Caregivers tried age-appropriate activities while workers coached them and gave feedback on interaction quality.
