Description¶

Each lesson conformed to the same instructional format with seven activities: story reading with icons, vocabulary introduction in story context, story-part naming with Story Gestures, individual retells with progressively removed visual supports while peers played listening games (Story Bingo, Story Cubes, Story Sticks), and vocabulary review with photos or objects. Children heard the story twice and retold it as a group and individually each session.
