Description

The article operationalized its constructivist learning environment through a fixed 45-minute lesson format of six steps: revision and grouping into groups of 8-10, group activities with "explorations and sharing of ideas", reconvened group discussion facilitated by the teacher, teacher elaboration correcting "students' misconceptions", further development of major concepts with student questions, and evaluation with chalkboard summary and assignments. The same content was taught in both environments; only the presentation differed.
