Description¶
The report concludes that new billing revenues cannot by themselves sustain school health centers: "New funding through the CYBHI's Fee Schedule and CalAIM's ECM benefit do not offer an obvious pathway to replace the county's investment in SHCs with operational funds." County operational funds play a critical role in sustaining SHC staffing models, and most county-funded personnel have little or no billing pathway. The report recommends that Healthy Schools and Communities identify other sustainability strategies, new partners, or expanded county funds to maintain operations.
