Description

The intervention programme is a lesson-level design in which Grade 1 learners participate in a variety of activities specially planned to stimulate the pedagogical factors identified in the literature survey. "The programme was presented over a period of ten (10) weeks at a rate of three (3) one hour sessions per week", held from 9:00-10:00 in the morning. Activities developed skills, knowledge and values and involved learners "both in individual and group capacity", while the rest of the school programme continued as usual for both groups.
