Description

A teaching model resulting from design-based research iterations that organizes social studies teaching with Minecraft Education in three activities: Introduction (teacher lecturing, past orientation, vague intersubjectivity, domain-specific skills), Reconstruction (collaborative design in Minecraft and role-play scriptwriting, present orientation, fragmented intersubjectivity) and Transformation (role-playing and video recording, future orientation, focused intersubjectivity). The current version "suggests how generic and domain-specific skill practices can be combined in three ways", pairing each phase with a temporal orientation, a level of intersubjectivity, and a primary/secondary skill type.
