Description

The instructional pattern is a sequence of three problem-based inquiry lessons layered onto regular lessons: "Based on this content, we designed three progressive thematic inquiry lessons; the teaching content and objectives are presented in Table 1". The progression moves from understanding the characteristics of good questions, to constructing logically progressive question chains, to interdisciplinary questioning from scientist, engineer, mathematician, and artist roles in a wind-turbine context. Each lesson targets a distinct problem posing objective and draws on prerequisite knowledge built in preceding regular lessons.

Design Implications

Context
