Description¶
The framework organizes teaching around two complementary knowledge maps: an AI map ordered by problem type (nonlinear regression, structured feature extraction, constrained decision making, sequential decision making, physics-constrained learning) and a power-system map ordered by task function (forecasting, power-flow analysis, dispatch, storage control, dynamics). "The core idea of the framework is topairentries across the two maps rather than teach them in isolation." Each module keeps the same generic AI workflow but anchors it in a recognizable power-system problem, directly addressing the survey finding that image-classification exemplars feel disconnected from power engineering.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Every module must deliberately couple a core AI concept to a representative power-system task so learners see why the method matters
Constraints¶
- Modules are arranged in three tiers of increasing conceptual and engineering complexity, from foundational supervised learning to research-edge methods
Target Learners¶
- beginners, students, practitioners, and interdisciplinary learners in power and energy systems
Learning Goals¶
- core AI concepts (regression, convolution, learned constraints, DRL, physics-informed learning) as applied to power-system tasks
