Description¶
A Spanish National Quality Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ANECA) framework of subject-, semester-, and degree-level indicators for measuring university students’ academic progression, efficiency, success, and graduation.
Components¶
- ANECA-defined academic performance metrics framework for Spanish university curricula: A framework of institutional performance metrics defined in Spain by the National Quality Evaluation and Accreditation Agency (ANECA), which the simulator operationalizes. It spans subject- and semester-level rates — "the efficiency rate and the success rate" — and degree-level rates, including "the graduation rate measured as the percentage of students who finish as scheduled or taking an extra year" and a credit-based efficiency rate. The article uses this framework to structure the simulator's outputs for curriculum analysis. (Caro Huertas et al. (2014))
Claims¶
- The Monte Carlo simulator computes per-subject and per-semester academic performance rates, specifically the efficiency rate and the success rate [+M]
- The simulator computes Bachelor-degree-level rates: graduation rate and an efficiency rate measured as credits of the curriculum with respect to credits really taken [+M]
