Description¶
E MCQG is a medical multiple-choice-question generation system that uses expert-derived clinical question templates and ontology-based relations to generate board-examination-style case questions.
Components¶
- Four expert-derived case-based question templates for medical MCQ generation: Elsevier medical experts identified four question templates representative of board-examination preparation questions: What is the most likely diagnosis?, What is the drug of choice?, What is the most likely clinical finding?, and What is the differential diagnosis?. "Four medical question templates have been implemented in the current implementation of E MCQG." Each template specifies stem entities (patient demographic, history, symptoms), option-entity rules over ranked relations, and validity rules ensuring distractors are weaker than or unrelated to the key.
