Description¶
Song et al.'s GAIDE framework guides K–12 teachers through AI understanding, iterative collaborative design and prototyping, and reflection on ethical application when creating AI-powered learning technologies.
Components¶
- GAIDE: A Guiding Framework for AI-Integrated Design for Educators: GAIDE is a framework supporting K-12 teachers in creating AI-powered learning technologies through vibe coding. It combines Design Thinking phases with adapted INTERACT design components, bookended by an initial Understand AI phase and a final Reflect on Ethical Application phase. Revisions from the empirical workshop included that "Learning Environment was removed, and Learning Objectives was newly introduced" in the Design phase, and the framework visualizes a non-linear, iterative cycle of collaborative design.
