Description

Four branded school-based anti-bullying programmes run by their respective developers and implementers for primary and secondary schools, using whole-school, classroom, individual, peer, online, and train-the-trainer interventions.

Components

  • Four repeatedly evaluated anti-bullying programs: KiVa, OBPP, NoTrap!, and ViSC: Of 65 different school-based bullying programs in the meta-analysis, only four were evaluated more than twice across locations: KiVa, OBPP, NoTrap!, and ViSC. KiVa targets bystanders to reduce social rewards for bullies and includes a virtual-learning element; OBPP is a whole-school program operating at school, classroom, individual, and community levels; NoTrap! is a web-based program engaging students as peer-educators moderating an anti-bullying forum; ViSC is a 1-year train-the-trainer program with 13 student lessons. Table 1 compares their components. (Hannah Gaffney et al. (2019))
