Description¶
The LET is an online Lithuanian-English paired-associate vocabulary-learning assessment developed by Luchini et al. to measure the speed and durability of associative learning and related associative thinking.
Components¶
- Learning Efficiency Test (LET) Lithuanian-English paired-associate paradigm with SemDis-scored verb generation for measuring associative learning and thinking: The LET assesses "how quickly and durably people acquire new verbal information" by having participants learn 45 Lithuanian-English word pairs over two days with iterative testing with immediate feedback and no-feedback final tests; Lithuanian was chosen to control for prior knowledge. Associative thinking was measured with a verb generation task scored for semantic distance via the SemDis platform using a GloVe model trained on a 6-billion-token corpus. (Luchini et al. (2025))
