Description¶
A district-readiness framework developed by Zohal Shah et al. (2024) for implementing competency-based micro-credentials and learning-and-employment-record technologies with K–12 partners.
Components¶
- Implementation science framework for assessing district readiness: The report grounds its conceptual framework in implementation science, a model for understanding how educational interventions are adopted and scaled that focuses on "fidelity, feasibility, and sustainability" rather than real-time effectiveness. Following McKay (2017), the authors examine contextual factors affecting a district's readiness to implement competency-based micro-credentials and LER technologies while centering HSE learners, identifying indicators such as community or institutional partnerships, data privacy and infrastructure, and student advising and career support. This yields a Readiness Framework (Appendix B) for district leaders. (Zohal Shah et al. (2024))
