Description

NWEA's Spanish-language early-grades reading assessment measures foundational skills across kindergarten through grade 3 and provides achievement and growth norms for interpreting scores over time.

Components

  • Spanish Foundational Skills achievement and growth norms tables (grades K-3): Twelve snapshot tables (Tables 3.3-3.14) present achievement and growth norms for each domain in grades K-3, released in Fall 2026. Grey columns give percentile ranks from 5 to 95, blue columns give achievement norm scores per term, green columns give expected between-term growth and SDs for each percentile, and yellow and mixed-colored cells support normative evaluation of a student's actual gain between terms. Achievement norms cover fall, winter, and spring; growth norms cover fall-to-winter, winter-to-spring, and fall-to-spring growth. (Wei He et al. (2026))
