Description

STILE Education's cloud-based K–12 learning platform provides customisable multimedia lessons, interactive canvas and written-response tools, assessments, automated feedback, and teacher access to student work.

Components

  • STILE online learning platform with interactive canvas and written response applications: STILE (Student Teacher Interactive Learning Environment) is a customisable, cloud-based interactive online platform for K-12 science units, freely available to Victorian government secondary schools. In this study its modules embedded multimedia resources, assessments with automated feedback, and open-ended tools: "the interactive canvas allowed students to draw and annotate diagrams and integrate multiple media; and the written response application provided an infinitely expanded ruled pad allowing students to construct text-based responses." The platform also served as a repository for student work that teachers could access to guide discussion and refinement. (Cirkony et al. (2022))
