Description¶
A norm-referenced rating scale developed by Childs for judging elementary and secondary pupils' snow-scene drawings by comparison with anchored sample drawings and averaged ratings from two judges.
Components¶
Claims¶
- Gaps in the scale's sample range produce distribution anomalies, with fewer ratings in the 4 to 4.99 band than in the 3 to 3.99 band [~W]
- Drawing ability scores rise from grade IB to grade 8A, but the data support group norms rather than a distinctive norm for each grade [+W]
