Description¶
WestEd's freely available suite of participant-data-informed tools helps postsecondary gateway-math courseware designers examine learner and faculty needs, experiences, and ecosystems.
Components¶
- User experience design tools for courseware: persona creation kit, journey maps, and ecosystem maps: The WestEd team developed freely available user experience design tools grounded in participant data for courseware designers and developers. These include "a modular, deck-based user persona creation kit" with eight student and faculty archetypes plus capacity, challenge, and design thought cards; eight journey maps visualizing a semester-long student experience with friction points and courseware opportunities; and two ecosystem maps illustrating the people, processes, features, and resources that positively or negatively impact success in math courses.
