Description¶
A dataset of teacher-verified mathematics and English/language arts subject and student links used to assess the accuracy of administrative teacher–student linkage data and examine departmentalization.
Components¶
- Verified teacher-subject-student link data for examining value-added model assumptions: A dataset of teacher-student links in which teachers of mathematics and/or English/language arts verified the subjects and students they taught. The article uses it as a benchmark against teacher-student links from original administrative data to detect departmentalization in grades 4-5, finding that "instruction is often departmentalized in these grades." It serves research on teacher effectiveness data quality. (Eric Isenberg et al. (2015))
