Description

The CoMSA conceptualizes educational differences through three logistic curve parameters. Slope (Logis a) represents learning rate per unit of time invested. Intercept (Logis c) represents floor performance when time spent studying is zero, associated with prior knowledge and guessing floors. Inflection point (Logis d) determines the amount of prerequisite learning needed before performance gains appear on the tested material. Interventions are modeled as modifications to these parameters.

Accounts

  • Learning curve parameterization: slope, intercept, and inflection point map to distinct educational constructs: The CoMSA conceptualizes educational differences through three logistic curve parameters. (Brendan A. Schuetze (2024))
