Description

The article proposes an end-to-end framework in which a national curriculum textbook is ingested via OCR and semantic chunking, formalized against a predefined domain ontology, and used to construct a provenance-traced QA benchmark with category-level evaluation. Unlike prior systems that construct graphs from text, PhysicsMate "utilizes the curriculum-defined ontology to build and partition the benchmark and support the category-level evaluation". The authors argue the framework generalizes to adjacent disciplines (secondary chemistry, biology) and to neighbouring South Asian curricula sharing classical physics and SI units at Grade 9-10.
