Description

The article frames team design as a socio-cognitive activity rooted in Bucciarelli (1984), in which any design task effort must be made explicit as a communication message and any communication task must relate to the design task. It operationalizes this with a three-level interaction analysis coding scheme: "(a) The micro level, which refers to how each person behaves as part of the team; (b) the meso level, which refers to emerging structures as behaviors of two or more participants; and (c) the macro level, which refers to the shared subject focus of the team." Design objects, moves, and sequences are coded in parallel with communication moves and sequences.

Accounts

  • Team e-learning design as a socio-cognitive activity analyzed at micro, meso, and macro levels: The article frames team design as a socio-cognitive activity rooted in Bucciarelli (1984), in which any design task effort must be made explicit as a communication message and any communication task must relate to the design task.
