Description

The article adapts ANT into a recursive analytic procedure for classroom talk with seven steps: recognizing actors (human and non-human), tracing connections into assemblages, identifying translations of roles, identifying shifts and changes in the network, delineating interactions' outcomes, examining connections to other networks, and revealing black boxes. Roles are translated through network dynamics: "the teacher played alternatively the role of a source of knowledge, an activity facilitator, and a referee, according to the specific dynamic in the network".
