Description

The review organizes the empirical literature into two strands: "embodied learning through orchestrating embodied language learning and teaching", and "embodied learning in naturally occurring language learning interactions". The first strand covers designed interventions and activities where teachers deliberately orchestrate bodily engagement; the second covers analyses of embodiment arising in ordinary classroom and interactional language use. L1, L2, and FL studies were identified within both strands, making this the review's central organizing axis for RQ1.
