q is the design tier, i the impact, n the sample, and the kind with its r
the rigour judged within that kind: what each code means.
This claim: no standardized effect is recorded in observations/ for it yet, so no benchmark reading is possible.
q3 i3 Among French introductory psychology students, mastery goals significantly and positively predicted reported epistemic regulation of a sociocognitive conflict (η² = .27), whereas performance goals did not. → Darnon 2006

Regression analysis in Study 1 (51 participants recalling Milgram's experiment, imagining a disagreeing partner) showed "mastery goals significantly and positively predicted the reported amount of epistemic conflict regulation" (B = 0.41, η² = .27), with performance goals non-significant (B = −0.15, p = .30).
"As expected, mastery goals significantly and positively predicted the reported amount of epistemic conflict regulation (B /H110050.41), t(46) /H110054.07, p /H11021.001 (/H92572 /H11005.27). This was not the case for performance goals ( B /H11005/H110020.15), t(46) /H11005/H110021.04, p /H11005.30"
Discussion¶
Learner Variables¶
- Achievement Goal Orientation — predictor: learners who differ on it differ in outcomes
