Description¶
The treatment consisted of activities integrated into regular high school content through which learners practiced speaking and listening via 21st century skills. The article lists the skills as "critical thinking and problem solving, communication and collaboration, interpersonal skills, leadership, and technology literacy". Example activities included "Criticize your book. Imagine your favorite book. Speak about it.", designing questions for school managers about problems, giving group solutions, and imagining future life and jobs. Some activities were done in class, others prepared between sessions, and some filled ten or 15 minutes at the end of class.
