Description

The article defines blended learning as "the harmonized combining of face to face and online (e-learning) environments to present the learner a large and effective learning process". It situates blended learning between face-to-face and pure e-learning, and distinguishes diachronic (no space and time limitedness) from synchronic (real-time) online learning grounds. In the study it is instantiated as 14 weekly online hours plus 6 face-to-face hours in a German course.
