Description

The article grounds its textbook development in contextual theory, under which "learning will meaningful when associated with daily life." The teaching materials are therefore built by showing illustrations of daily events containing character education, and every theme lesson is related to character-education elements, producing reciprocity between thematic learning and character education. The authors also invoke Piaget's constructivist theory, emphasizing students actively building their own knowledge through problem-solving, drawing conclusions, and formulating ideas in their own words.
