Description¶
The treatment was a closed Facebook group acting as a virtual classroom in which groups of four students created and shared content about assigned vocabulary. The wall feature let members "share their presentations, videos, photos and other documents" and comment on each other's posts. Four assignments structured the twelve-week treatment: Facebook presentations, blog e-portfolios, vocabulary exercises with quizzes, and creating or editing Wikipedia, Wikitravel and Wikihow entries.
