Description

The study operationalises "music" in English language teaching as five types: "1. Instrumental performance of various musical works; 2. Song (acapella, solo and choral); 3. Video clips from recordings of songs; 4. Verbal information from the world of the music industry" (articles, interviews, advertising, programmes), and "5. Non-verbal information" (photographs of musicians, instruments, studio and concert-hall interiors). Each type received its own set of classroom techniques in the formation stage.
