Description¶
The flipped classroom moves direct instruction outside class, usually via electronic means such as videos, and transfers application assignments into classroom time. The article describes it as attempting to move the lecture outside of class and transferring "the application assignments, formerly homework, into the classroom". In this study, learners watched instructor-made reading videos before class, then spent class time reflecting on, discussing, and practicing what they had learned under teacher supervision.
Design Implications¶

- Intermediate-level Iranian EFL learners aged 19-25 at a private language institute
Learning Goals¶
- EFL reading comprehension
- Learner autonomy and engagement in language learning
