Description¶
The article designed four recurring in-class activities layered onto pre-posted flipped materials: a one-minute paper identifying the muddiest point, two to three group-based activities in groups of four, a partial outline completed in pairs after a ten-minute mini-lecture, and at least four clicker questions answered with colored response cards. The activities were "designed in a way to be suitable for all types of learning styles in order to increase the active participation of students in class". The instructor circulated, answered questions, and posted explanations for muddiest points on Blackboard the same day.
