Description¶
The article adopts the Parsloe and Wray conception of coaching as "a process furthering implementation of training and development and consequently improvement of the trainee's competence and professional skills", structured in four basic stages: goal setting, reality check, courses of action, and will to act. In History of Visual Arts classes, students set a goal such as mastering the historical periods of visual arts, assess their initial knowledge via questionnaires and self-study, seek courses of action in collaboration with the professor coach, and then carry out planned activities.
