Description¶
To secure a uniform basis for the examinations, the committee recommends ten texts, including Betts, Angell, Kirkpatrick, James, Seashore, Judd, Dewey, Titchener, Calkins, and Thorndike, each annotated (e.g., Seashore's is "A manual of experiments not requiring any laboratory"). The article states "In the Elementary examination, three of these are required; in the Advanced, six." Special books are Kirkpatrick, Seashore, and Dewey; the others are general introductions. A supplementary reference list for public libraries is also given.
