Description¶
In the experimental group each lesson opened with about five minutes of questions reviewing prior content and checking readiness, then the subject "was taught with the support of relevant presentations and simulations", and the final five minutes were devoted to questions and answers so unclear points could be identified and re-explained. Simulations were drawn from mebvitamin.com and youtube.com and projected with computer-aided projection in audio-visual quality.
Design Implications¶
Context¶
Requirements¶
- Access to simulation resources and a computer-aided projector providing audio-visual quality
- Four hours per week of course time across five weeks
Constraints¶
- The pattern was applied to one seventh-grade science-and-technology unit in a single school
Target Learners¶
- Seventh-grade primary education students
Learning Goals¶
- Understanding of human body systems (digestive, urinary, nervous systems and sense organs)
