Description

A recurring lesson routine for teaching a reading passage through a messaging group: within a fixed two-and-a-half-hour online time span, the teacher first posts key vocabulary with synonyms, poses pre-reading questions for group discussion, gives time for silent reading and idea sharing, sends an audio file of the text, and closes with comprehension questions answered collaboratively under teacher supervision. The article used this sequence weekly for six passages with intermediate university EFL students.
