Description

The DRDP-PS is a California Department of Education teacher-rated developmental assessment used to document and monitor preschool children's learning and progress.

Components

  • Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) teacher-administered developmental assessment: The DRDP is a developmental assessment administered by children's classroom teachers, completed based on teacher and family observations in five essential readiness domains: social and emotional development, language and literacy development, mathematics, approaches to learning–self-regulation, and physical development. It is completed in fall and spring, providing a measure of children's learning and development over the preschool year. The article reports the assessment is valid for formative and summative assessment with diverse groups of children, including multilingual learners, children with disabilities, and children from different racial/ethnic groups.
