Description¶
MoodMap App is a prototype software application developed by Pammer-Schindler et al. for recording, contextualizing, and visualizing individual and collaborative workplace moods.
Components¶
- MoodMap App for self-tracked mood and team awareness: The MoodMap App is a mood self-tracking prototype whose interface follows Russell's two-dimensional model of affect along valence and arousal, with mood captured by clicking a bi-dimensional mood map based on Itten's colour system. Users can attach free-text notes and context information; moods, notes and context are aggregated and visualized at individual and collaborative levels, including a Compare Me View and a Collaborative View showing others' current mood. It was tested in two field studies, in virtual team meetings and in call-center teams. (Pammer-Schindler et al. (2021))
Claims¶
- In activity-logging field studies, even anonymized data export was refused by a majority of participants, and named-author mood sharing was accepted by most participants [+W]
- Learning is not an a priori shared goal of stakeholders in informal workplace learning settings, which undermines trust in data collection for learning [+W]
