Description¶
A paired teacher-and-student questionnaire instrument developed by Avivit Arvatz and colleagues to assess self-regulated-learning subprocesses and reflection through self-report and triangulated open-ended responses.
Components¶
- T-SQsrl: paired teacher and student SRL questionnaires with a triangulated reflection assessment: The T-SQsrl is an assessment tool comprising a teacher version (TQsrl, 31 closed-ended items plus an open-ended reflective question) and a student version (SQsrl, 15 closed-ended items), both adapted from the SRLMQ and structured on Zimmerman's cyclical SRL model. It evaluates SRL sub-processes including goal-setting, task-strategy, self-efficacy, help-seeking, elaboration, and reflection. The teacher version enables triangulated assessment by correlating self-assessed reflection with expert grading of an open-ended reflective question, while teachers provided the external assessment triangulating students' self-assessments. The article describes it as innovative in its focus on reflection skills and in allowing simultaneous assessment of teachers' and students' SRL within the same classroom or school.
