Description

Following Haynes-Brown and Fetters (2021), the article states that "joint display effectiveness can be assessed on three criteria, namely, organizational intent, analytic intent, and the effectiveness of the visual presentation". In the illustrative study, organizational intent was to depict the ecological and integrated nature of learner experiences, analytic intent was to examine interconnections by evaluating the extent to which quantitative data supported qualitative findings, and effectiveness was evaluated by aiming for a display that was self-explanatory and avoided unnecessary complexity.
